Near Passive House, Near Zero Net Energy

Paul Panish of the DEAP Group used the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP) to help design this home.

Located in a quiet area of  Stow, MA, this highly efficient, very comfortable home will provide the owner with a very comfortable, very low cost home for many years to come.

This home was designed to be practical, providing a great deal of living space in a small footprint, due to the 2.5 story design, which has a conditioned, fully insulated basement.

This home was designed by Kraus - Fitch Architects, Inc. and constructed by Transformations, Inc., both organizations with outstanding histories of high performance building.

Details on this home available here.

This home was included in a presentation at the 2011 ASHRAE Annual Conference by Peter Englemann and Kurt Roth of Fraunhofer Institute USA, and was also included in a PHD dissertation by Thomas Walter, University of MA, Lowell. .
